We were watching TV after putting
Stephen to sleep. Brian asked
if I wanted to play some cards,
which we did and I won so I
suggested that we open a Christmas
present, he agreed. Then he
asked if I wanted to play another
game and I said "Sure." He
said "Well, I made something."
He left the room and came back with
a word search that he had made
himself that was about us; (trips we
had been on, things we do or have
done, etc...). I finished it
and then he had another one that I
had to guess the words in it from
questions he had. Once I
finished that he wanted to play
hangman. I was worn out from
Christmas Eve with his family and
had a killer headache... but he was
being so sweet and had put so much
time and effort into making word
searches for me which I love that I
agreed.
The first one word was
reindeer and the next one was
ornament.... then he said that he
brought an ornament home from his
sisters that his niece had made.
He had it hanging on the tree.
He got up to get it and came back
and got down on one knee (I am still
clueless to what is going on).
He squeezed the reindeer to make it
appear to be talking and it said
"Will you me to marry me?" I
just looked at him strangely and
then he popped the reindeers mouth
open and I saw the ring...
I jumped up in excitement and he
pulled it out...and I giggled for
about an hour with a perma-grin on
my face, my cheeks hurt so bad from
all the smiling. After we laid
down to go to bed... he said "Mary,
you never answered me." ha ha... I
of course said "YES!"

I was born in Chattanooga,
Tennessee, raised in Birmingham,
Alabama and graduated from Pelham
High School. Since 1999, I
have worked in Property
Management receiving my CAM
certification in 2006. Things
I love to do are: going on
weekend lake trips, road trips,
grilling out, Six Flags, bowling,
playing darts, throwing Frisbee,
playing badminton, floating down the
Cahaba, hearing live bands, taking
pictures, trying new things, being a
mommy and of course having people
rub my feet! I'm currently
learning how to scuba dive so that
Brian can take me on some scuba
trips.

To be brief, I was born in Kentucky
and have lived in many states since
including Texas, Georgia, North
Carolina, Florida, and of course
Alabama which is my current
residence. After graduating
High School in Vidalia, GA, I
enlisted in the Marine Corp which
opened my eyes to a lot and provided
me with many unique experiences.
I decided to get my college degree
when my service in the military
ended and in 2000, I got my bachelor
degree in Building Science at Auburn
University. Since then, I have
lived in the Birmingham area and
have worked in construction as a
project manager/estimator. My
past times include motorcycling,
scuba diving, beach trips, boating,
flying, mountain biking, hanging
with friends and pretty much
anything else outdoors
although my favorite is watching
Stephen grow.
